Esrun IS back

Filed under: Blackhat — Dink @ 12:34 am

This is a case of ‘boy, I’m glad I was wrong about that’.

In a previous post I told of Esrun being back in the black hat blogging mode. In that post I mentioned that his tools weren’t there any more.

WRONG.

As a matter of fact, not only Esrun does have his tools posted for download, but he has released a brand new one too.

In his usual crisp, clean, and efficient coding style, Esrun has released the MSN Live API Scraper. He uses cURL rather than soap and the example included is easy to understand and even easier to use.

Well done, Esrun.

Now, where did I hide my MSN API number?

BlackHat blogger returns

Filed under: Blackhat — Dink @ 7:07 pm

One of the masters of crafting blackhat tools retired from the game a while back. Esrun is back, just not in the same form as in times past.

My friend Paul over at seoblog welcomed esrun back in style.

Now I’m going to give you the link to the return of his blog, just don’t expect to see the tools that he had in the old days.

I can’t picture myslelf clinging to a slim cord fixed to a moving vehicle, sailing over the countryside without a care. That is what is sounds like esrun is doing nowadays. Good for him. Not so good for me.

Is your insurance policy paid up?

Your BlackHat business plan

Filed under: General — Dink @ 10:31 pm

You do have a business plan, right? You do know this is a business, right.

Yes, I know, it’s lots of fun. Almost like playing a giant video game. The rewards are real tho. The checks, the auto deposits, the paypal balance; they will buy stuff. It is real money, so treat it as such.

Alright, enough about your lack of a business plan. How about this…what are your plans for your future?

Where do you want to be in ten years? What do you want to be doing? Where will the money come from then?

We all know that search engine spamming has changed a lot in the last year. More changes will no doubt be coming. So what makes you think that you’ll still be able to whack up a few hundred MFA’s, spam the shiiite out of them, and make money?

Right now is the time to make your plan for the day when you can’t replicate yesterday’s profits.

Here is my plan for the division of cash flow. Each check or cash receipt of any form gets divided up as follows:

  • One third (33%) goes into a savings account for the payment of taxes.
  • One third goes toward reducing debt. If debt is all gone the cash goes into investments for the future.
  • The final third is for business. Hosting, new tools, external hard drives, domain names, etc.

Now, that third item is flexible. After reaching a certain level of profits, it is difficult to justify blowing a large portion of them on more hard drives and so on.

That’s my plan. You need to make your plan. Today.
