The value of backlinks

Backlinks are the life blood of the black hat marketer. How do you value your backlinks?

Regardless of the type of backlink you get, it has value. If the site where you dropped your link is spidered, you will draw the spider to your site.

I hear about some blackhats that scrape up a thousand or so link places and turn their spammer loose. That’s all well and good if they have done some background work.

I’m sure you know this, but I’m not sure you are practicing this. The value of a backlink is much greater if the link has anchor text applied.

Deep linking is the name of the game. You can’t get deep links unless you target your pages with an anchor that is appropriate to the text.

Some folks have stated that they use random text as the anchor. For the life of me, I can’t see the value of this. Oh, ya. It’s a link.

Give me a link with good anchor text any day.
